3.12 Load Balancing
For topology of single sector dual carrier, the BreezeCOMPACT will anble load balancing between the
two carriers using algorithm based on number of registered CPEs on each sector.
There are two configurable paramters :
1- Num of MSs per Carrier : Default 30 - Defines the maximum number of MSs per Carrier, above this
number the Carrier will not connect additional CPEs.
Num of MSs difference between carriers : Default 10 - above this number the MS will re-connect to the
second carrier, making sure that the difference between the two carriers will not be greated than
configurable value.
Status :
Carrier 1 MS count - Display the maximum number of MSs on Carrier 1
Carrier 1 LB - Actual status of the number of MSs connected to Carrier 1
Carrier 2 MS count - Display the maximum number of MSs on Carrier 2
Carrier 2 LB - Actual status of the number of MSs connected to Carrier 2
The following diagram explain the flow of the loadbalancing:
In this example assuming “Num of MS difference between carrier” = 10MSs
As initial state the system is configured with the defaults of Maximum 30 MSs(CPEs) per carrier, Sector
1&2 did not connect MSs till now.
When new CPEs doing INE, the first sector will connect the CPEs till reaching above parameter Num of
MSs difference between carriers (default 10 MSs),
