5 Troubleshooting

5.1 Poor Linking

Solution:

The antenna is attached to the end of the Wireless LAN Card. For best use of the antenna, please

follow the instruction below:

1) Keep the area around the antenna clear to avoid any interference from materials that could block radio transmission, such

as metal objects, electronic devices, and cordless telephones.

2) Adjust the direction of the PC slightly to improve the linking quality.

5.2 Windows does not detect the installed Wireless LAN PC Card

Solution:

1) Make sure the driver of the PCMCIA controller is installed.

2) Make sure whether the PC has a Plug and Play BIOS.

3) Make sure if there is any conflict between PCMCIA devices. If there is conflict, please click “Start”, “Settings”,

“Control Panel”, “System”, “Device Manager”, “Other devices” to find "INTERSIL-

PRISM_2_5_PCMCIA_ADAPTER" and delete it. Now, please install Wireless LAN PC Card.

5.3 PC cannot connect to the Network

Solution:

Make sure the Wireless LAN’s network Type, Name, Channel and Data Rate is set as same as

Network.
