In the Message menu the Soft Keys , '- provide further features on the basis of
the symbol shown above them on the display:
 Enlarge and scroll the contents of a message.
 Reply to a message received, or update one already written.
 Enter the message
 Enter the telephone number
 Exit from the menu
 Move to the next subject on the same menu level.

Firstly, this feature allows you to enter the destination telephone number (or to recall a
number directly from the phone book by pressing ) ), when the display reads Send to:
and then, having confirmed by pressing ,  , you can write the text for the message
(maximum 160 characters):
The counter [n] on the display indicates the number of characters that can still be in-
serted in writing the SMS message.
Pressing '  allows you to pass from entering the text to entering the destination
telephone number and vice versa.
The text characters are entered in the same way as that described for entering names in
the phone book.
To enter a series of numbers in the text, press  for a second: the top centre of the dis-
play will read  .
