Activating and deactivating the microphone
The microphone can be activated/deactivated by pressing  for a second (only during a
conversation). The display will read: Phone muted.

Protecting the keyboard prevents accidental or involuntary pressing of keys, including the
 key.
To lock the keyboard. With the display on stand-by, hold the / key down. The display
will show the symbol C
C
.
To unlock the keyboard press / for one second, followed by  .
If the automatic keyboard locking feature has been activated ( '    ) the key-
board will be locked whenever a key is not pressed within 30 seconds.
NOTE: When the keyboard protection feature has been activated, calls can only be made
to emergency numbers.
Self-locking ( ;

)
If this feature has been activated ( '     ) a code will be requested (that
preset by the manufacturer is 1 2 3) to access certain services (outgoing calls, access to
the phone book, the Message menu and various menu features).
Once the correct code has been entered, the Self-locking feature is deactivated. To reac-
tivate, hold down the - key.
When the self-locking feature is active, the display will show the symbol ; .
Cancelling units in credit
Press + to cancel the amount of units remaining. To access the cost control feature,
press ( '   ).
