TECHNICAL MANUAL Telit GM862 PCS Tri Band GPRS Data Terminal System 1 Rev. 2 INTRODUCTION The Telit GM862 PCS is a Tri Band transceiver with integrated Data Terminal Adapter functions that emulates a traditional modem allowing the compatibility in GSM/DCS/ PCS environment with many data communication software. The design and development of the Telit GM862 PCS Tri Band cellular data terminal system is in line with the following documents: 3GPP TS 51.010–1 v. 4.4.

If unused, this signal may be left unconnected. If used, then it must always be connected with an open collector transistor, to permit to the internal circuitry the power on reset and undervoltage lockout functions.

The Telit GM862-PCS module is compliant with: 1. Hayes standard AT command set, in order to maintain the compatibility with existing SW programs. 2. ETSI GSM 07.07 specific AT command and PCS specific commands. 3. ETSI GSM 07.05 specific AT commands for SMS (Short Message Service) and CBS (Cell Broadcast Service) 4.

Every extended command has a test command (trailing =?) to test the existence of the command and to give information about the type of its subparameters.
