T Shows your home zone status (ask your network operator or service
provider for further information on this feature).
During a call several icons may appear:
You have an active call
you have a call on hold
Call waiting: receiving a call while another one is active. In case,
press to put the current conversation on hold and respond to
the new call; by pressing you can continue with the
conversation already in progress and reject the new call.
If you accept the new call, press to put the conversation on hold and
return to the other one.
In addition, press the joystick to access a menu with the following options:
1 End call number 1
2 End call number 2
3 Perform switch: put call on hold and return to the previous one
4 Use the number pad to transmit DTMF tones
5 Join the two calls into one multiparty conference call
6 Access the main menu to open the phonebook or read an SMS message
for example.
After enabling the Multiparty feature, the same menu will give you the option of
using the "Split" function to divide the calls and continue separately with your
two (or more) conversations.
DTMF - what is it, and what is its use
The DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) system allows you to transmit standard
frequency tones. These tones are often used for voice mail, answering
machines, telephone cards, etc.
