■ Select Repeater from the menu bar.
■ Click on the check box for the access point whose range you wish to increase by means of the
T-Sinus 154 XR. To do this, you will need to know which SSID this access point is using. If there are
several access points using the same SSID, you can identify the different units by their MAC address. The
MAC address of an access point of the T-Sinus 154 product line is shown on the nameplate on the bottom
of the unit.
■ Make a note of the wireless channel which the required access point is using.
■ Enter a random name for the access point in the window under the SSID. This name will assist you to
identify the various devices more easily.
■ Click on Speichern to apply the settings.
■ If wireless traffic encryption is set on the access point, you must now activate encryption on your T-Sinus
154 XR as well. To do this, in the Sicherheit menu select WEP.
■ You must now set the correct wireless channel for the repeater so that the T-Sinus 154 XR operates as a
repeater for the selected access point. To do this, under Netzwerkeinstellungen select Wireless then
select the required channel.
■ Next, you must activate the repeater function on the access point so that it detects the T-Sinus 154 XR as
a repeater. For access points of the T-Sinus 154 product line, this is done under Netzwerkeinstellungen
- Repeater Settings. Please refer to the operating instructions for the particular device.
■ Configuration is complete once your T-Sinus 154 XR has successfully connected to the access point.
Remember however that the T-Sinus 154 XR is still automatically assigning IP addresses to connected
devices. You may have to alter the configuration if you have configured your access point (of the T-Sinus
154 product line) differently from its factory default settings. You will find information about this in the
section headed “LAN-Einstellungen” in the detailed instructions for the T-Sinus 154 XR.
■ You should restart all the devices once all the configuration settings have been made.
■ You will now see a list
of all reachable access
points with SSID, MAC
address, wireless
channel and type. To
refresh the display,
click on Aktualisieren.
