CC (Configuration Channel) State Detection: Voyager M310P
Whenenabled,theAnalyzercapturesCCStatetransitionsbymonitoringthevoltages
seenontheCCpins.(ThisistheDefaultsetting.)Inthismode,theAnalyzerconnectsCC1
fromConnector1toConnector2wheneverthestatesoftheCCpinsareappropriatefor
PDcommunication.Ifthisitemisunchecked,thentheCCstatesareNOTmonitored,and
theCC1lineisconnectedacrosstheconnectorsatalltimes.Thismaybehelpfulduring
debuggingwhentheCCvoltageisnotfoundtobewithinthecorrectthresholds.
Note:Thismode(whenCCDetectionisdisabled)istobeusedforlow‐leveldebuggingonly,asthe
behaviorofmanystatetransitionscanbebroken.TheLEDreportingwillnotworkasexpected,
andtheabilitytodistinguishbetweentheLeftandRightporttrafficiseliminated.Choosethisat
yourownrisk,normallyundertheguidanceofTeledyneLeCroyrepresentative.
Connector VConn
CertaindeviceswithacapturedType‐CplugrequireVConnonCC2todrivetheir
electronics.AnexamplewouldbeanHDMIAdapteroradevicethatisfullypoweredby
VConn(knownasaVConnPoweredDevice,orVPD).SincenormalMarkedandUnmarked
cablesbeingusedwiththeAnalyzerdonotpassthroughtheVConnpoweroverCC2,any
suchdevicewillrequiretheAnalyzeritselftoprovidethispower,orthedevicesimply
won'twork.Theseselectionsallowyoutoenablethatpowerforthesecircumstances,on
theconnectorwherethispowerisrequired.
