1.7.1 General Description
TheAnalyzerconnectstoaportableordesktophostmachinethroughitsUSBport.The
hostmachineconfiguresandcontrolstheAnalyzer.The“CATCTrace™”userinterfaceisan
industrystandardfordocumentingtheperformanceofhigh‐speedserialprotocols.
TheUSBprotocolAnalyzerprovidestrafficcaptureandanalysis.Hardwaretriggering
allowscaptureofreal‐timeevents.Hardwarefilteringallowsfilteringdifferentpacket
typesinoroutoftherecording.Filteringalsoallowsyoutopreserverecordingmemory,
forextendedrecordingtime.
Thetraceviewerapplicationdisplaysrecordeddataincoloredgraphics.Theapplication
hasadvancedsearchandviewingcapabilitiesthatallowyoutoquicklylocatespecific
data,errors,andotherconditions.
