bintec RT1202 The flexible media gateway The RT1202 media and VPN gateway has two S0 interfaces that can be configured as desired. The 4 ISDN B channels and the integrated 4-channel DSP permit 4 simultaneous hybrid connections for voice (VoIP) and fax (FoIP) transmissions. VoIP Media Gateway With the RT1202 up to 4 telephone calls and fax transmissions (T.38) can be transferred simultaneously between the IP network and the traditional telephone network. This can be carried out either directly as a terminal adapter (an ISDN telephone is registered with the VoIP provider) or using a PBX. A traditional ISDN PABX can be coupled with SIP providers or a modern IP PABX can be operated on the ISDN BRI/PRI exchange connection. Fax transmission over T.38 is supported in both scenarios.
