. The interactive tests on the Diag/Cal menu are for manufacturing use at
the factory.
Performance Tests
This section contains a series of procedures for checking that the AWG2021
Arbitrary Waveform Generator performs as warranted.
The procedures are arranged in ten logical groupings, presented in the following
order:
 Operating Mode Checks
 Arithmetic Operation Checks
 Clock Frequency and Amplitude Checks
 Gain and Offset Accuracy Checks
 Pulse Response Check
 SYNC Out and MARKER Out Amplitude Checks
 External Trigger Level Accuracy Check
 External CLOCK IN Check
 ECL Digital Data Out Check (Option 03)
 TTL Digital Data Out Check (Option 04)
These procedures extend the confidence level provided by the internal diagnostic
and calibration routines described on page C-2.
These tests comprise an extensive, valid confirmation of performance and
functionality when the following requirements are met:
 You must have performed and passed the calibration procedure described in
Self Tests, the previous subsection.
. For operation to specified accuracy, allow the AWG2021 to warm up at
least 20 minutes before doing the performance tests.
 Load all the files from the Performance Check/Adjustment disk
(063-2171-XX) that comes with this manual into AWG2021 internal
