Command Descriptions
incoming data u
ntil the input buffer is full and then reports a n input overrun
error. The oscilloscope asserts DTR (Data Terminal Ready) at all times when
the oscilloscope power is on.
Hard agging and soft agging cannot be on at the same time. However, hard and
soft agging ca n both be off at the same time. Turning hard agging on turns soft
agging off. Turning soft agging on turns hard agging off.
Conditions
This command applies to the TDS200, TDS1000, TDS2000, and TPS2000 Series
only.

Syntax
RS232:HARDFlagging { ON | OFF | <NR1> }
RS232:HARDFlagging?
Arguments
ON or <NR1> 0 activates hard agging and turns off soft agging.
OFF or <NR1> = 0 deactivates hard agging (RTS always asserted).
Examples
RS232:HARDFLAGGING ON activates hard agging and deactivates soft agging.
RS232:PARity
Sets or queries the parity used for all RS-232C data transfers. When parity is odd
or even, the oscilloscope generates the selected parity on output and checks all
input against the selected parity. When parity is none, the oscilloscope performs
no input parity error checks and generates no output parity.
When the parity (ninth) bit does not match the parity type, the oscilloscope reports
a parity error. If another command is sent immediately after this command,
without waiting for the parity to be programmed, the rst few characters may be
lost.
