The following example shows a simplified AC/DC circuit diagram that uses the TDP0500 or T DP100 0 probe and a DPO7000
oscilloscope. T he oscilloscope is loaded with the DPOPWR power measurement software application to solve a typical test p roblem.
Measure Switching Loss
In this example, you want to m inimize the power loss at the switching device to improve the efficiency of the power supply.
1. Connect the differential pro be across the switching device, and a current p robe in se ries with the device. (See Figure 4.)
