6. Set the probe ran ge to 25 A .
7. Degauss the pro be.
8. Clamp the current p robe around the HF
current loo p. Verify th at the arrow-shaped
indicator on the probe points away from the
pulse generator.
9. Record the rise time measurement in the
Test Record.
NOTE. If you measure higher rise times than
expected, check your oscilloscope firmware
version. (See page 55, Oscilloscope Firmware.)
Early versions of oscilloscope firmware may
engage the bandwidth limit filter, which will
yield inaccurate rise time measurements.
10. Calculate the probe ban dwidth using the
measured rise time in the formula shown.
11. Record the calculated bandwidth va lue in
the test record.
