Setting the acquisition trigger delay time
1. Push Acquire.
2. Push the Delay side-menu button to toggle
between On and Off. When set to Off,the
expansion point is tied to the trigger point so
that horizontal scale changes are centered
around the trigger point.
3. With Delay set to On, the trigger point is
disconnected from the expansion point.
Turn the Horizontal Position knob to move
the trigger point away from the expansion
point (center graticule). The amount of
delay is shown in the Horizontal Status
area at the bottom-center of the graticule,
referenced to 0 s (center graticule).
The trigger point can m ove off the screen;
when this happens, the trigger marker
changes to show the direction of the trigger
point.
Trigger point is off-screen (delay time shown on readout at bottom of the sc reen)
4. Once you are displaying a waveform area of interest at the center of the screen, adjust the Horizontal Scale knob to
acquire more points for the area of interest, and use the controls to view more detail.
