Performance Verification
3. Set the Digital
Multimeter to measure resistance in an autorange mode. On a
Tektronix DMM4020:
a. Push the Ω butt
on (if necessary, push again to get to 2X4Wire mode,
not
4Wire mode).
b. Push the RAN
GE button to select Auto Range (if not already selected).
4. On the Tektronix FCA/MCA3X00 Series instrument under test:
a. Push Input A.
b. Set the input coupling to DC.
c. Set the input impedance to 50 Ω.
d. Set the input attenuator to 1X.
5. Record t
he me asured Channel A input resistance in the test record.
6. Move the Coaxial cable from Input A to Input B on the FCA/MCA3X00
Series
instrument.
7. On the Tektronix FCA/MCA3X00 Series instrument under test:
a. Push Input B.
b. Set the input coupling to DC.
c. Set the input impedance to 50 Ω.
d. Set the input attenuator to 1X.
8. Rec
ord the measured Channel B input resistance in the test record.

is procedure checks the hysteresis band at 1X, and RMS noise. It also verifies
trigger level uncertainty and 10X attenuator scale factor.

Digital Multimeter
Coaxial Cable, BNC male to BNC male
