Use the procedure that follows to start and stop acquisition.
Overview To start and stop acquisition Control elements and resources
Prerequisites 1. Inst rument must be i nstalled with sam pling modules in
place before powering on the instrument. Instrument
must be powered up, with horizont al and vertical
controls set up. Triggering should also be set up.
See sampling-module user manuals for sampling
module installation. See page 3--24 for acquisition
setup and page 3--48 for trigger setup in this manual.
To start
acquiring
2. Make sure all the channel s t o be acquired are turned on
(use the channel but tons; see page 3--9 if needed).
Then push the RUN/STOP button to begin acquiring.
To stop
acquiring
3. Push the RUN/STOP button to st op acquisition.
Acquisition will also stop when acquisit ion finishes if a
selected stop condition is sat isfied (see st ep 4 on
page 3--25) or if triggering ceases while in Normal
trigger mode.
To cl ear an
acquisition
4. Push the Acqui sition CLEAR DATA button to discard the
acquired data in all channels.
