1.3 External Appearance and Interfacing
Although the BLE Gen2 variants can be categorized into many different groups based on
function, PCBA HW, or Mechanical enclosure/mounting combinations (as described in the
previous sections), there are only two distinct groups with respect to the base enclosure and
external interface layout. These groups are the AA-cell base enclosure variants and the C-cell
base enclosure variants. The appearances and external interfacing layouts of both of these
groups is shown in Figure 1-4.
