TOOLS REQUIRED:

T-20 Torx

Bit and Driver

1. Open the rear tailgate to access the

screws that hold the taillights in place.

Remove the T-20 Torx

screws

and

carefully pry the taillight housings rearward

away from the vehicle, being careful not to

break the alignment tabs.

2. Access the black housings that match

the housings on the T-Connector.

Disconnect the wire harness from both

taillight sockets. All connector surfaces

should be clean and free of dirt.

3. Locate a suitable grounding point on

the driver's side near the connectors.

Drill a 3/32" hole and secure white wire

with eyelet using screw provided.

CAUTION

Verify what is behind any surface prior

to drilling to avoid damage to the vehicle

and/or personal injury. Do not drill into

any exposed surfaces.

4. Beginning on the driver’s side, plug the

T-Connector harness containing the

yellow wire in between the vehicle’s

mating connectors.

5. Route the harness containing the green

wire and the 4-flat down the opening

behind the taillight on the driver’s side.

Route the 4-flat harness to the center

of the vehicle. Route harness containing

the

green wire underneath the vehicle

up through the opening behind the

passenger’s side taillight.

WARNING

Route the wire being careful to avoid

any hot pipes, heat shields, the fuel tank

or any other points that may pinch or break

the wire.

6. Repeat step 4 for the passenger’s side

using the T-Connector harness end with

the

green wire.

WARNING

All connections must be complete for the

T-Connector to function properly. Test and

verify installation with a test light or trailer

once installed.

7. Secure wires with cable ties provided.

Secure convertor (black box) through

the driver’s side taillight pocket, in the

area below the taillight and between the

vehicle and the bumper. Re-install both

rear taillights.

WARNING

Overloading circuit can cause fires. DO

NOT exceed lower of towing manufacturer

rating or:

• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)

• Max. tail lights: (5.0 amps)

Enlever les vis T-20 Torx ® et dégager délicatement les boîtiers des feux arrière en les éloignant du véhicule de, en prenant soin de ne pas briser les languettes d’alignement. f 2. Repérer les boîtiers noirs qui correspondent à ceux du connecteur en T. g Débrancher le faisceau de fils des douilles de feux arrière.
