IMPORTANT: The new compressor does not use a capacitor.
1. Disconnect power to wine center.
2. Evacuate the sealed system as per Whirlpool
Technical Manual W10393765.
3. Disconnect the suction and discharge lines
from the compressor.
4. Remove and discard the protector cover.
5. Remove and discard the capacitor, mounting
nuts, and washers.
6. Remove and keep the ground screw and
washer connecting the green/yellow ground
wire to the compressor.
7. Disconnect the red (L) and black (N) wires
from the overload and start relays on the
compressor.
8. Remove and discard the original compressor
mounting bolts, washers, and nuts.
9. Remove and discard the original overload
and start relays.
10. Remove and dispose of the original
compressor as per your company’s standard
process.
11. Install the new grommets and sleeves into
the new compressor.
12. Slide the spring clip from the kit around the
new overload protector, then insert the ends
of the clip into the slots on the left side of the
new compressor fence (see image).
13. Connect the wire coming from the protector
to the top round terminal on the compressor
14. Plug new starter into the bottom two round
terminals on compressor.
15. With the relay and protector attached, mount
the new compressor to the chassis using the
mounting bolts, nuts, and washers
from the kit.
16. Connect the red (L) wire from the unit
harness to the spade terminal on the
overload protector.
17. Connect the black (N) wire from the unit
harness to the spade on the starter relay.
WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.
