FieldPilot® Installation If there are questions concerning the installation of the FieldPilot system on this vehicle, or due to the changes in component specifications the parts supplied in the kit are not exactly as presented in this document, please contact your dealer or TeeJet Customer service representative for clarification before installation. TeeJet Technologies is not responsible for misuse or incorrect installation of the system.
FieldPilot® 1. Prepare the FieldPilot Valve Install the straight adapters (V) in the A, B and T ports and the elbow adapter (S) in the P port. Install adapter (Y) in the LS port. Then install adapter (U) onto adapter (V) in the T port. Figure 1-4: Prepare the FieldPilot Valve P T A B LS V V S V Y U www.teejet.
FieldPilot® 2. Install Mounting Bracket for FieldPilot Valve The FieldPilot brackets will mount on the Hazard Signal Bar on the rear of the machine. Use parts (B, H, & I) to mount the brackets (J & K) as shown. The valve and brackets should be mounted to right side so it doesn’t obstruct the operator’s view of the hitch. Figure 1-5: Install Mounting Bracket for FieldPilot Valve B, H, I J K 3.
FieldPilot® 4. Install the Steer Hoses and Adapters The steer hoses will connect from the A & B ports of the FieldPilot valve to the steering cylinders at the pivot of the machine. The 90º end of hoses (L) will connect to the A & B ports of the field Pilot Valve. Route hoses (L) from the rear of the machine through the middle of the machine forward to cylinders. Disconnect the original steer hoses at the cylinders and install run tee (Q) on both cylinders.

FieldPilot® 5. Install the Shuttle Tee and Adapters Install adapters (T & W) in the shuttle tee (P) as shown. Then disconnect the original LS hose and install the prepared shuttle tee as shown. Reconnect the original LS hose and route hose (O) from the shuttle tee to the LS port of the FieldPilot valve as shown. Figure 1-8: Install the Shuttle Tee and Adapters T W T P Disconnect Connect O Original LS Hose O www.teejet.
FieldPilot® 6. Install Pressure hose and adapters Remove the plug on the Power Beyond Port labeled ether IN or P. It will be on the left stack of SCVs as you face the machine. Install adapter (X) into the port and attach adapter (R) to adapter (X). Then route hose (N) from adapter (R) to the P port on the FieldPilot valve. Figure 1-9: Install Pressure hose and adapter R X Remove 7. Install The Tank Hose and Adapters Remove the plug on the Power Beyond Port labeled ether OUT or RET.
FieldPilot® 8. Install the Valve Control Cable The Valve Control Cable will route the same as the steer hoses did in step 4. Connect the cable (F) to the FieldPilot valve and then route it from the rear of the machine through the middle of the machine forward to where the harness from the SCM exits the cab. NOTE: Be sure that the cable is routed in the channels so that it can not come in contact with the drive shaft! Also route it so that it will not get pinched at the pivot point.
FieldPilot® 9. Install Steering Disengage Switch (Kit 91-07011) The steering disengage kit (BB) is used to automatically disengage FieldPilot when the steering wheel is turned. The magnets mount on the steering shaft or other rotating part of the steering wheel and the sensor mounts so that there is a 1/8” clearance between the sensor and magnet. One option on some machines is to use existing factory installed magnets already installed on the steering shaft.
FieldPilot® 10. Installation of Engage/Disengage Switch Connect item (A) to the connector on the SCM harness labeled Remote Engage/Disengage. Install the push button in a location that is easily accessible during operation of the machine. This switch (A) is not required if the optional foot switch 32-04020 is used. Figure 1-13: Engage/Disengage Switch www.teejet.
FieldPilot® 11. RECOMMENDED ELECTRONICS INSTALLATION The Steering Control Module (SCM) should be mounted securely to the floor as far forward in the cab as possible. The control console can be mounted to the operator’s preference. The GPS antenna should be mounted near the nose of the vehicle on a metal surface of at least 4” square. The Articulated Gyro Module (AGM) should be mounted towards the rear of the vehicle on a flat surface that is horizontal to the ground.
FieldPilot® 12. VERIFY OPERATION OF HYDRAULICS AND SET THE STEERING CONTROL RATE Clean and pick up the area around the vehicle and make certain that it is safe to operate. Start the engine and check hydraulic connections for leaks. Rotate the steering wheel from one extreme to the other and back to center, check for leaks. While steering through the extremes of movement, check the cables and hoses for wear points and strain, adjust as necessary.
FieldPilot® U s e r M A N U A L A series of equipment-specific hydraulic installation kits have been developed to work in conjunction with your assisted steering system. This kit contains the necessary components and instructions to install assisted steering hydraulics on the Case STX, NH TJ Series and NH T90X0 Series. Please review this manual thoroughly before beginning the installation process. 1801 Business Park Drive Springfield, Illinois 62703 USA Tel: (217) 747-0235 • Fax: (217) 753-8426 www.
