Snagit 11 has a number of improvements and introduces new functionality. We've also removed some rarely-
used and outdated functionality.
Highlighted Improvements and New Functionality

Updated callouts, arrows, stamps, and other drawing tools, with more free stamps available on our
website.
Ability to paste an image from your clipboard onto a new canvas. For example, you want to work on an
image taken from Word or the web.
Updated Time-saving profiles, with more free profiles available on our website. Now work even smarter
and faster.
Ability to resize images by inches and centimeters (not just pixels).
Option to automatically scale oversized images to fit on the canvas (by adjusting zoom levels).
YouTube output.
Various bug fixes, performance improvements, interface, and dialog changes.
Removed Functionality
In order to streamline development and improve performance of Snagit, some features have been removed.
Usage data collected by the TechSmith User Design Initiative indicated that these features were rarely
used or no longer relevant. Rather than continue to spend resources keeping these features up to date and
working at the level you expect from TechSmith, they have been removed.
AVIvideo capture: Including pause and pan, highlight cursor, set frame rate and compression settings.
Web capture mode: Downloaded all images from a URL.
Shape capture inputs: Triangle, rounded rectangle, ellipse, and polygon. These shapes can be created
using the selection tool in Snagit Editor.
Full screen DOScapture:Full screen DOSmode is no longer available in recent versions of the Win-
dows operating system.
DirectXcapture: No longer able to select this codec.
Rarely used file types: MSP, CAL, RAW(not the camera format), ICA, IOCAR, IOCAW, LEAD,
PICT, PCX, and GEM.
Capture from EXE/DLL: Captured icons from inside EXEs.
