The machine must be plugged into a socket with safety ground. • Place the machine on a flat surface in a frost-free room. • Do not touch hot surfaces. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS READ INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING BEFORE USE Before using your new coffee brewer for the first time, or if the machine has not been used for some time, we recommend first rinsing the water receptacle. Fill the coffee brewer with cold water and operate twice without any coffee. POWER SUPPLY CORD The short power supply cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.

FEATURES Brew-basket • • The brew-basket is specially designed for making one 10 oz. cup of coffee with a contact time according to SCAA, SCAE & ECBC standard. Attention: Make sure the brew-basket is clean and the tiny hole at the bottom of the brew-basket is not blocked, to prevent the brew-basket from overflowing. Note: Use the provided small brush to clean the tiny hole in the bottom of the brew-basket. • Use only No.1 filter paper in the brew-basket.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE 1. Power switch should be in the off position. 2. Position outlet-arm as shown in the image. ··Attach securely to the silicon gasket at top of the cold water reservoir. ·· Remove outlet-arm only for cleaning purposes. ··Push the outlet-arm sideways for easy access to the brew-basket. 3. Fill cold water reservoir to the marked level (10oz), with fresh cold water. 4. Check the tiny hole in the brew-basket for any obstructions, as this will result in overflowing of the brew-basket.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE Basic Cleaning • Before cleaning, remove plug from the socket! • Clean the brewer regularly on the outside with a moist cloth and wipe dry. After each use, hand wash the brew-basket with mild detergent. • Use a small brush to clean the tiny opening in the bottom of the brewbasket. • Make sure coffee grounds aren’t left in the brew-basket, as they might clog the tiny hole in the brew-basket. • Note: Use the provided small brush to clean the tiny hole in the bottom of the brew-basket.
e - t r FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Why is my brewer not heating to 200°F? The Technivorm Moccamaster coffeemakers operate on the scientific principle of bringing water to a boil. It is this boiling action that causes the transfer of water to the brew-basket. The brewer is designed to move the proper amount of water (10 oz.) in the correct amount of time (approx. 4 minutes). This is the correct water contact time needed for the proper extraction.

DESCRIPCIÓN Portafiltro • • • I 1 El portafiltro está diseñado especialmente para preparar una taza de café de 10 onzas con un tiempo de contacto acorde a las normas SCAA, SCAE y ECBC. INSTRUCCIONES DE USO 1. La llave de encendido deberá estar en la posición off. 2. LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO Limpieza básica • Antes de limpiar, retire el enchufe del tomacorrientes. • Limpie regularmente la parte exterior de la cafetera con un paño húmedo y seque. Después de cada uso, lave a mano el portafiltro con detergente suave. • Utilice un cepillo pequeño para limpiar el orificio diminuto de la parte inferior del portafiltro. • Compruebe que no queden granos de café en el filtro ya que pueden tapar el orificio pequeño del portafiltro.
r y o . e. a PREGUNTAS FRECUENTES ¿A qué se debe que mi cafetera no alcance 200º F? La cafetera Technivorm Moccamaster funciona sobre el principio científico de llevar el agua al punto de hervor. Es esta acción de hervir la que provoca la transferencia del agua al portafiltro. La cafetera está diseñada para trasladar la cantidad indicada de agua (10 onzas) en el tiempo correcto (aproximadamente 4 minutos). Ese es el tiempo necesario de contacto del agua para obtener una correcta extracción.

FONCTIONNALITÉS Panier d’infusion • • • Le panier d’infusion est spécialement conçu pour produire une tasse (10 onces ou 295 ml) de café avec une durée de contact aux normes SCAA, SCAE et ECBC. Attention : Assurez-vous que le panier d’infusion est propre et que le petit trou au fond du panier d’infusion n’est pas obstrué, afin d’éviter qu’il ne déborde. Remarque : Utilisez la petite brosse fournie pour nettoyer le petit trou au fond du panier d’infusion.
e t MODE D’EMPLOI 1. L’interrupteur doit être en position Arrêt. 2. Positionnez le bras de sortie tel qu’illustré. ··Fixez fermement la rondelle d’étanchéité en silicone en haut du réservoir d’eau froide. ··Retirez le bras de sortie uniquement à des fins de nettoyage. ··Poussez le bras de sortie de côté pour accéder facilement au panier d’infusion. 3. Remplissez le réservoir jusqu’au niveau indiqué (10 onces ou 295 ml) avec de l’eau froide. 4.
NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN Nettoyage de base • Avant le nettoyage, débranchez l’appareil de la prise murale! • Nettoyez régulièrement l’extérieur de l’appareil avec un chiffon humide, puis essuyez‑le. Après chaque utilisation, lavez à la main le panier d’infusion avec un détergent doux. • Utilisez une petite brosse pour nettoyer le petit orifice au fond du panier d’infusion.
F FOIRE AUX QUESTIONS Pourquoi ma cafetière ne chauffe-t-elle pas à 200 °F ou 93 °C? Les cafetières Technivorm Moccamaster fonctionnent en amenant l’eau à ébullition. C’est cette ébullition qui provoque le passage de l’eau dans le panier d’infusion. L’appareil est conçu pour transférer la quantité appropriée d’eau (10 onces ou 295 ml) dans la période prévue (environ 4 minutes). C’est le temps de contact adéquat de l’eau pour assurer une extraction appropriée.
