3. DESCRIPTION
VersaPatch
®
Latex Modified Floor Patch and Leveler is a fast setting cement-
based product designed specifically for patching and filling cracks, voids, seams
and depressions in most floor surfaces from featheredge up to
1
⁄2
" (12 mm) deep.
Flat trowel to produce a smooth, level, non-cracking surface. The resulting finish
is ideal for the installation of sheetgoods, resilient tile, carpet, wood and ceramic
or stone tile.

Suitable Substrates
When properly prepared, suitable substrates include:
• Concrete
• Cement backerboards
• Concrete terrazzo
• Ceramic tile, pavers, brick
• Quarry tile
• Exterior grade plywood, C-C (plugged) or better
• Exterior Grade Lauan Plywood—Type I Trademarked Exterior Grade, OVL, CC,
BB, OVL face grades only (Note: Lauan plywood is an unacceptable substrate
for the installation of resilient, ceramic or marble tile)
• Vinyl composition tile (VCT), embossed resilient floor coverings must be single
layer and well bonded to an approved substrate*
• Adhesive residue (except for tacky or pressure sensitive adhesive)*
• Gypsum substrates**—minimum tensile bond strength 72 psi (0.5 MPa)

Substrate Preparation
All surfaces must be structurally sound, dry and free from oil, grease, dust, loose
or peeling paint, sealers, floor finishes, curing compounds or any contaminant that
would prevent a good bond. Concrete and cementitious substrates must be fully
cured and free of any hydrostatic pressure or excessive moisture [15 lb. per
1000 ft

(0.07 kg/m
2
) per 24 hours, RH 95% or lower]. All surface protrusions
must be removed by sanding, scraping or chipping. Remove all dust by vacuuming.
Not recommended for use over expansion or control joints.
Notes: Vinyl asbestos tile or any substrate containing asbestos must not be
sanded, scored or scarified because of the potential health hazard of
breathing dust. Any substrate containing asbestos must be handled in
accordance with existing EPA regulations. Contact your local EPA office.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight. Do not store open containers.
Shelf Life
Maximum shelf life is from date of manufacture in unopened package.

Limitations
• Only for interior use.
• Do not use where there is hydrostatic pressure or excessive moisture
conditions.
• Not for use as a wear surface or to patch over sealed concrete, epoxy terrazzo,
tempered hardboard, particle board, strip wood flooring, over heavily cushioned
flooring or perimeter bonded flooring.
• Do not apply when the temperature is below 50°F (10°C).
