After the floor is set, roll in both directions with a 100-150 lb. roller to ensure
good contact with the adhesive. Protect newly installed VCT with a coat of wax
before subjecting to foot traffic. The finished installation must be protected from
moisture and/or freezing for a minimum of 24 hours.
Clean-up
Wet adhesive may be removed with cold, soapy water and a white rag. For dried
adhesive, it is preferred to be removed mechanically. Mineral spirits may also be used
for dried adhesive residue carefully following warnings on container. It is best to apply
the mineral spirits to a clean, white absorbent cloth and not directly to the flooring.
