5. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Mixing
For best results, add powder to liquid. In a clean mixing container, add unmodified
mortar to additive as specified below.
Mortar Size Amount of XtraFlex
50 lbs. (22.68 kg) 1.85 Gallons (7.00 L)
For mortar bed applications:
80 lbs. (36.28 kg) of a 3:1
sand/portland mix
4½-5 qts. (4.2-4.7 L) at a 1:1 dilution
ratio: 2¼ qts. XtraFlex : 2¼ qts. water
(2.1 L XtraFlex : 2.1 L water)
Gauge to proper working consistency
Application
Install in accordance with detailed instructions on TEC thin set or specialty mortar
product data sheets or packages.
