Connect the wire plug of the battery pack to the wire plug of the
charger. Please note the shape of the connectors- they should fit
together in one way only. The male and female metal terminals
inside the plastic connectors must be properly aligned- DO NOT
FORCE! An incorrect connection will result in damage to the
battery pack and charger, and could result in a fire.
NOTE: The battery pack has 4 wires, but the charger has only 2.
Plug the charger into a standard 110/120V electrical outlet.
Charge for approximately 14 hours for the first charge.
Subsequent recharges only require 10 hours.
Unplug the charger from the outlet and detach the wire plug
connectors.
NOTE: Do not pull on wires, as they may come loose from the
plug connectors.

IMPORTANT: Battery pack is not charged when newly
purchased- charge before using.
THIS PRODUCT USES A NICKEL-CADMIUM RECHARGEABLE BATTERY PACK- BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED OR
DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.
• The battery pack may become very hot after running the vehicle- use caution when removing. If you are not immediately
replacing with a fresh battery pack, it is best to allow the discharged battery pack to cool for a minimum of 1 hour before
removing.
• Remove battery pack from vehicle before recharging.
• Only use the rechargeable NiCd battery pack provided by the manufacturer. Using another battery may cause a short circuit,
overheating, melting, or possible fire.
• Do not recharge a warm or hot battery pack- wait until the pack has cooled.
• The charger and battery pack may become slightly heated while charging. Allow sufficient free space around both the charger
and battery pack during charging.
• The charger should be used for charging one battery pack at a time. Do not use the charger for charging other types of
batteries or battery packs.
• Do not overcharge the battery pack. This may damage or reduce the capacity of the battery pack. (see charging instructions
above for details)
• Recharging too early will shorten battery pack life.
• Do not recharge batteries that show wear or leakage.
• Keep the battery pack and charger out of the hands of infants and small children at all times.
• Do not short circuit battery contacts. Short circuits may cause overheating, burning of the cords, and/or other damages to the
battery pack and charger.
• Do not recharge in high temperatures or bring the battery pack near a flame.
• Do not let the charger or battery pack get wet or damp.
• Do not take the charger or battery pack apart.
• Do not pull on wires when detaching the battery pack plug/connector.
• Do not use the charger as a direct current outlet for other electrical appliances or machines.
• The NiCd battery pack should be charged under the supervision of an adult.
• Disconnect the connector of the battery pack from the vehicle when not in use.
• Remove batteries from vehicle and transmitter if vehicle will not be used for a long period.
• Check all batteries regularly for leakage.
• Do not dispose batteries in a fire - batteries may leak or explode.
• Use only the recommended batteries or batteries of equal quality/type.
• Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• Batteries should be inserted with the correct polarity.
• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
• Exhausted batteries should be removed from the transmitter.
The following components are included in this package and should be removed from the styrofoam:

-12V NiCd battery pack -Accessory packet (tire tool and spare link pins)
-Charger

CHARGE
This toy vehicle has a built-in fuse to help protect the electrical components. If your vehicle does not run with
the power switch on and the battery pack fully charged and well connected, the fuse may have blown. To check:
1. Remove the body shell as described in "MAINTENANCE."
2. Locate the FUSE BOX and use a philips-head screwdriver to unscrew the FUSE BOX cover (Fig. 7-1).
3. Replace the in-use fuse with the spare fuse (Fig. 7-2).
4. Replace the FUSE BOX cover.
PROBLEM
Car does not move or runs slowly
Car moves erratically or
transmitter range is short

PROBABLE SOLUTIONS
•Make sure power switch on vehicle and transmitter are in the ON position.
•Make sure the batteries in the vehicle and transmitter are installed properly.
•Recharge vehicle's NiCd battery pack or replace if necessary.
•Replace AA batteries in transmitter with fresh batteries.
•Replace the fuse on the vehicle.
•Make sure the transmitter frequency module and vehicle frequency module
are properly paired.
•There is radio interference in the area- change locations.
•There is another R/C vehicle operating on the same frequency near by-
move away from any other vehicle operating on the same frequency.
•Make sure antenna in transmitter is screwed in tight and fully extended.
•Make sure transmitter battery connections are in good condition and replace
batteries.
•Allow car to dry thoroughly overnight.
•Avoid driving in water or snow.
