The world championship winning CRF technology is patented by and found only in Team Orion engines. Our nitro R&D mana-
ger Adrien Bertin and our racing team continuously test new designs to make sure we keep an edge over the competition.
The patented CRF technology (EP 1 787 018 ) was created by inventor Fabrice Ra-
mella and is in constant evolution thanks to Adrien Bertin. The main difference with
standard engines resides in the crankshaft design:
1. Turbo-Effect thanks to the angled crankshaft port. 2. Reduced back plate mix-
ture bouncing. Fresh fuel mixture is distributed around the backplate instead of
bouncing against it. 3. Acceleration and throttle response is improved thanks to
the slots which recover stagnating fuel mixture.
