Before Using Driver Windows2000/XP/ME/Vista This player is plug & play for WIN2000/XP/ME/Vista OS. Connect to a PC and download audio files To connect the player with the PC for transferring files: 1. Plug the larger end of the USB cable to the USB port of the PC, and plug the smaller end to the USB port of the player. 2. Windows: It may take Windows several minutes to recognize and set up the device the first time it is connected depending on your hardware configuration.
Removing the player safely from the PC Windows2000/XP 1. Left click the icon at the right hand corner of the taskbar. 2. Click on the pop-up mini-window with message of “Safely Remove the USB Mass Storage Device – Drive (X:, Y:)”. 3. When you are prompted to remove the device, pull out the player. Macintosh 1. On the left side of the Finder Window, identify the appropriate Removable Disk icon. 2. Click on the “Eject” arrow on the right of the Removable Disk icon. 3.
Charging the battery The unit is equipped with a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. This product needs to be charged for at least 3 hours before usage. To charge the battery, connect the larger end of the USB cable to the USB interface of PC, and connect the other smaller end of the USB cable to the USB interface of this player. The charging starts immediately after the connection is made. Once player is full charged, the battery logo will display “Fully Charged”.

Switching On/Off Switching On: Move the On/Off slider release it. microSD Card Slot After connecting the player to the computer, you will find two portable devices. One is the built-in memory device and the other one is the device associated to the microSD card. The player supports direct playing of songs/videos on MicroSD cards. Insert the card into the slot. The contacts have to be arranged in the direction of the screen. In music mode, you will be offered in explorer any songs on the microSD card and any in the internal memory of the player.
Hints According to User Interface The player offers a consistent user interface. Regardless of the selected mode (music, picture viewer, video, etc.) the way of selecting menus or modes is identical. After the player is turned on first, it will be in the main menu. If a function is selected, it opens the explorer window (except FM radio function). The explorer displays a list containing all available objects (songs, pictures, vdeios, etc.).

Easy Transcoding In 3 Steps 1 1. Add the movie file you would like to transcode (You can either Add or drag-and-drop the movie file into the list). 2. The file will be displayed in the list. 3. Customized Settings To customize the player settings: 1. In the main menu, select the “Settings” item and press to enter the system settings mode. 2. Press or to select setting item. Confirm with . Firmware Upgrade From time to time, TEAC may release firmware upgrades to improve the performance of the Player or to add additional features. Please check the TEAC website periodically at www.teac.de to see if new firmware has been released for your player. Before using this function, please first backup all data in the player. Confirm that the BATTERY charge is sufficient. Do not interrupt the firmware upgrade process – doing so could damage your player and render it inoperable.
If you are able to see “Player Recovery Device Class” in the device manager as shown above, please proceed to Step 9. If you see STMPXXXX instead, you will need to install the STMP Recovery Driver. 6. The Player Firmware folder has the necessary driver inside. 7. Right click on the STMPXXXX on the device manager and select “Update Driver” or “Install Driver”. When the Window asks you for the location for the driver, select the “STMP_Recovery_Drivers” folder where you last unzip the Firmware. 8.
