Before Using Driver Windows2000/XP/ME/Vista This player is plug & play for WIN2000/XP/ME/Vista OS. Windows98SE Under Windows98SE drivers have to be installed. Do not connect the unit to your computer before the installation of the driver is finished. Insert the provided CD into your CDROM drive or download the driver from our web site. Double click on SETUP.EXE (USB Disk Win98 Driver Version xxx.exe) and follow the instructions on the screen.
Removing the Player From the PC Safely For Windows2000/XP 1. Left click the icon at the right hand corner of the taskbar. 2. Click the pop-up mini-window with message of “Safely Remove the USB Mass Storage Device – Drive (X:, Y:)”. 3. When you are prompted to remove the device, pull out the player. For Windows98 Please make sure the data transfer is completed before unplugging the media player.
Charging the Battery The device has a rechargeable built-in polymer ion battery. It is charged via USB connection. You are required to charge it when you use it for the first time. To charge the battery, connect the larger end of the USB cable to the USB interface of PC, and connect the other smaller end of the USB cable to the USB interface of this player. The device is connected to PC and being charged. You see an animating battery icon indicating charge progress.

Power On/Off To power on: Press and hold the / button (2 seconds) until you see prompt on the display. The MP3 player enters main menu with music option selected by default. TM Using microSD Card Slot After connecting the player to the computer, you will find two portable devices. One is the built-in memory device and the other one is the device associated to the microSDTM card. It enables you adding up to 8GB of additional memory to your player. The player supports direct playing of songs/videos on microSDTM cards. Remove the rubber cover to open the slot. Insert the microSDTM card into the slot with the label facing towards the display. Basic Operation Function Operation Play/Pause Press the Adjust volume +: Press: increase volume Press and hold: increase volume continuously –: Press: decrease volume Press and hold: decrease volume continuously Previous (Title, Picture, Video, File, Menu option) Shortly press the button. Main Menu The main menu offers ten functions: Music, Photo, Movie, Voice, FM Radio, Mic. Record, E-Book, Settings, Delete, About. The buttons or allow to navigate to the desired function. Pressing /M activates it. Press and hold /M until you are back in the main menu. Listening to Music Press and hold the /M button to display the main menu. Use the or button to select “Music” menu. Press /M to enter the Music mode. By default the player will be in STOP mode. Press /M to start playing the music.
Using the Music Menu The music menu allows you to manage all factors of listening, such as repeating tracks, selecting equalizers, and so on. Press the / button while listening to music. The music menu appears on the screen. Press the or button to search a menu item. Press the /M button to confirm the selection. Proceed as described in the section “Basic Operation”. Note: After finishing the music setting, press the to exit the music setting menu.
Lyrics The player supports MP3 lyrics display. Note: The lyrics format has to be .LRC. The name of the lyrics file and the name of the music file have to be equal. Lyrics files have to be in the same folder as the associated music files. Viewing Photos To view photos: 1. Press and hold the /M button to display the main menu. 2. Use the or button to select “Photo” and press the /M button to confirm. 3. Use the or button to select Manual, Slide Show or Thumbnail.
Playing Movies 1. Press and hold the /M button to display the main menu. 2. Use the or button to select “Movie” menu, and press the /M button to enter the video player mode. 3. Press the or button to search a video file that you want to play, and press the /M button to play. For detail information about playing, see the “Basic Operation” section. Setting Video Repeat Mode You have to select a mode to enjoy the movie in desired order. 1. Press the / button to stop the playback. 2.
Converting Video to MTV Format (VideoConverter.exe) This player supports the playback of videos in MTV format. Other formats (AVI, WMV, MEPG1, Quick Time, MPEG2, RealMedia, MPEG4, 3GP) must be converted to MTV format. The “MTVVideo Converter” is supplied on the CD to enable you to convert the other formats to MTV format. 1. Insert the provided CD to the CD-ROM drive of your computer. 2. Double-click the file “Video Conveter.exe” in the folder “MTVVideoConverter” of the CD. The Video Converter V2.
Note: z To get the best resolution and make your video playable on the player, you must select 128*128 or less in the Output Frame Size box (Advanced Setting). Otherwise, the message “Device Not Support” will appear on the screen when you play the video file. z You have to install codec before running “Video Converter.exe”. If not, the system will prompt “Load Video Failed!” and ask you to download the codec on the internet.

Automatically Searching a Frequency Push and hold or button to automatically search for radio stations with strong signal forward or backward.
Automatic Searching and Storing the Frequencies 1. Press the / button to open the FM Radio sub-menu. 2. Use the or button to select Auto Scan and press the /M button to start the search. The MP3 player automatically searches for all radio stations with the strongest reception and save them in the 20 memory locations (CH01CH20). The unit will start to play the first channel automatically after finishing the search. 3.
Voice Recording Press or in the main menu to select Mic. /M button. Record and press Or long press A-B/REC button to enter microphone record function when the player is in any state other than FM radio. The flashing record status icon indicates recording in progress. Recording can be stopped and resumed at any time by pressing /M (symbol ). Press / to stop the microphone recording. When microphone recording stops, the picture will be changed to voice playback function.
Playing Voice 1. Press and hold the /M button to display the main menu. 2. Use the or button to select Voice, and press the /M button to enter voice mode. The following functions are provided in voice mode: z Play recorded files from FM z Play recorded files from microphone File selection, file search, and playback function in the Voice mode correspond to the functions in the Music mode. Note: To exit the Voice mode, press and hold the ton to return the main menu.
Reading an E-Book 1. Press and hold /M until the main menu is displayed. /M. The E2. Select E-BOOK and confirm with book list appears on the screen if you use the EBOOK function for the first time or reset the player. 3. Select a .txt file with the or button and confirm the selection with /M. /M to scroll 4. Press or to scroll through the text file. Press automatically page by page. Customizing Settings To customize the player settings: 1. On the main menu, select the Settings item and press the /M button to enter the system settings mode. 2. Press the or button to select setting item and press the /M button to confirm. Press / to exit and return to the upper level menu. Language Select language in which the on-screen text is displayed. Play Mode Normal, Repeat One, Repeat All, and Random&Repeat.
Deleting Files 1. Press and hold the /M button to display the main menu. 2. Use the or button to select Delete, and press /M. The file list appears on the screen. 3. Press the or button to navigate between files or folder. 4. To delete a file, select the file and press the /M or / button. To delete a folder, select the folder and press the / button. The Delete menu appears on the screen. 5.

Firmware Recovery If unluckily that the firmware of the player is destroyed, then you need to restore the firmware on the provided CD to the player. Important: z Back up important files. Firmware recovery will delete all the data saved in the player. z Run the program before connecting the player with the computer. Steps to restore the firmware are as follows: 1. Insert the provided CD to the CD-ROM of your computer. 2. Open My Computer Æ CD Æ Firmware Recovery. 3. Run Factory4.exe.
