Thermal Consideration
Thepower module operates in a variety of thermal environments. However, sufficient cooling should beprovided to
help ensure reliable operation ofthe unit. Heat is removed byconduction, convection, and radiation tothe surrounding
environment. Propercooling can be verified bymeasuringthepoint shown in the figure below. The temperature at this
location shouldnot exceed 100C. Whenoperating, adequate cooling must be provided to maintain the test point
temperature at or below 100C.Although the maximum point temperature ofthe powermodules is 100C, limiting this
temperature to a lower value will yield higherhigherreliability.
