device is not ready for operation. For trouble shooting

Speech button
> accept/terminate a call
> press for 2 seconds to de-/activate the half-duplex
communication
> ring tone selection for door call 2
Function button*
> Select from the following functions which you can
trigger via the function button:
• trigger control function (e.g. door release)
• activate automatic door release
• call diversion to a second indoor station
• internal call, calling a second indoor station
> ring tone selection for internal call
Light switch button
> e.g. to switch in the corridor light
> press for 4 seconds to de-/activate the ambient
illumination
> the following functions can be triggered alternatively
via the light switch button:
• trigger control function (e.g. open the driveway gate)
• calling a second indoor station
> ring tone selection for floor call
Door release button
> open the door
> ring tone selection for door call 1
Brightness
> the brightness can be adjusted in 8 steps
Contrast
> the contrast can be adjusted in 8 steps
Colour saturation
> the colour saturation can be adjusted in 8 steps
Image button
> activate the video image of the front door station
> switch-over between different video sources
* This alternative settings can be adjusted by your qua-
lified electrician.
OPERATION
Accept door call and internal call
An incoming call is signalled through a ring tone and
the blinking green LED. Shortly press the speech
button to accept the call. Third parties cannot listen
in to conversations. Shortly press the speech button
again to terminate the conversation. Alternatively press
the door release button to trigger the door release,
the conversation is terminated after 4 seconds. The
call is terminated automatically after 2 minutes. If
background noises affect the conversation, press the
speech button for at least 2 seconds after you have
accepted the call to activate the function half-duplex
communication. Keep the speech button pressed to
speak and release the speech button to hear your
conversation partner.
Door release
Shortly press the door release button to open the
door. The blue LED lights up. The conversation is
terminated automatically after 4 seconds.
Ring tone mute
Shortly press the call OFF button. The ring tone is
deactivated and the red LED is ON. In case of an in-
coming call no acoustic signal sounds. Press the call
OFF button again. The ring tone mute is deactivated
and the red LED is OFF.
Switch on the light
In case of an incoming door call or an already esta-
blished voice connection you can switch on the light
(e.g. staircase light). Shortly press the light switch
button. The light is switched on.
Trigger additional functions via the function button
Press the function button to trigger an additional
switching function via control function.
Image activation
Shortly press the image button to display the image
of the front door station. Press the image button
again to switch-over between different video sources.
EXTERNAL IMAGE STORAGE*
Images (or image sequences) can be stored with the
external image storage FVM1000. The number of
images per FVM1000 is limited to 512. If the maximum
is reached, the oldest image will be overwritten.
View stored images
Press the image button to directly display the image.
Press the function button to browse through all new
stored images.
Delete stored images
Press the image button. The image is deleted. The
image stored before is displayed.
USER SETTINGS
Volume voice output
The volume voice output can be adjusted in 4 steps
during an established voice connection. Repeatedly
press the volume button until you have adjusted the
required volume for the voice output.
* The external image storage FVM1000 is not enclosed
in the scope of delivery.
Ring tone volume
The ring tone volume can be adjusted in 4 steps.
Setting the ring tone volume is only possible, when
no voice connection is established. Repeatedly press
the volume button. The ring tone sounds in the ad-
justed volume.
Ring tone selection
Different ring tones can be adjusted for floor calls,
internal calls and calls from a front door station.
Activate the ring tone selection:
Keep the call OFF button pressed for 8 seconds,
when no voice connection is established. An ack-
nowledgement tone sounds and all LEDs are ON.
The ring tone seletion is activated...
Ring tone for floor call
...Repeatedly press the light switch button to select
the ring tones. The ring tone selected last is stored.
Ring tone for internal call
...Repeatedly press the function button until the
required ring tone sounds. The ring tone selected
last is stored.
Ring tone for door call 1 from front door station
...Repeatedly press the door release button to select
the ring tone. The ring tone selected last is stored.
Ring tone for door call 2 from front door station
...Repeatedly press the speech button to select the
ring tone. The ring tone selected last is stored.
Terminate the ring tone selection
Shortly press once the call OFF button. An ack-
nowledgement tone sounds and the LEDs are OFF.
The ring tone selection is deactivated. If no button
is pressed for 8 seconds the devices terminates the
ring tone selection automatically.
CONFIGURABLE SETTINGS
Ambient illumination
Keep the light switch button pressed for 4 seconds.
The ambient illumination is activated and lights
up blue. Press the light switch button again for 4
seconds. The ambient illumination is deactivated, if
this function has not been blocked by your qualified
electrician.
Receive an internal call
The internal call sounds and the green LED lights
up. Shortlxy press the speech button to accept the
internal call.
Control function for additional functions*
If the control function has been configured, you
can trigger these by pressing the function button
(delivery state).
Internal call*
You can call another indoor station. Shortly press
the function button and/or the light switch button.
An acknowledgememt tone sounds, if the call has
reached its call destination. If the call is accepted at
the called device, a voice connection is established.
One internal call can be configured to the function
button and one internal can be configured to the
light switch button.
* These settings are adjusted by your qualified electrician.
Parallel call*
In case of an incoming door, floor or internal call
a second indoor station sounds parallel. The ring
tone sounds at both indoor stations.
Call diversion*
An incoming call is diverted to a second indoor sta-
tion. Shortly press the function button. The red LED
blinks. The call diversion is activated. Shortly press
the function button again. The red LED expires. The
call diversion is deactivated.
Floor door release function*
If the floor push-button at the floor door is pressed,
you can open the floor door (instead of the front
door) with the door release button within the next
30 seconds.
Automatic door release*
If this function is activated, an incoming door call
directly triggers the door release. Shortly press the
function button. The red LED blinks. The door release
automatic is activated. Shortly press the function button
again. The red LED expires. The door release automatic
is deactivated.
NOTES
Warranty
We offer a simplified processing in case of warranty.
Note our conditions of sale and delivery, available under

contact your qualified electrician.
Service
The warranty is granted in accordance to the current
legal conditions. Removing the device in case of a
fault has to be executed by your qualified electrician.
Cleaning
Clean the device with a dry or slightly wet cloth. Remove
stronger stains with a mild household cleaner. Avoid
water from entering the device! Do not use any abrasive
detergents!
Information on disposal
Dispose the device separateley from domestic waste via
a collection point for electronic scrap. The packaging
is recyclable. Dispose the parts of the packaging in
collecting tanks for cardboard and paper.
