Setting the BLUETOOTH
audio codecs
(except for North American model)
You can select the BLUETOOTH
audio codecs when the connected
BLUETOOTH device supports
Advanced Audio Coding (AAC).

“BT AAC,” then press

“ON” or “OFF,” then press

ON: Select this setting if the
BLUETOOTH device supports
Advanced Audio Coding (AAC).
OFF: Select this setting if the
BLUETOOTH device only supports
Sub Band Codec (SBC).
Notes
You can enjoy high quality sound if the
AAC is selected. In case you cannot listen
to AAC sound from your device, select
“OFF.”
If you change this setting while the
system is connected to a BLUETOOTH
device, the BLUETOOTH device will
be disconnected. To connect to the
BLUETOOTH device, perform the
BLUETOOTH connection again.
Setting the BLUETOOTH
standby mode
The BLUETOOTH standby mode
enables the system to turn off
automatically in about 15 minutes
when there is no operation, no audio
signal is detected, and the automatic
standby function (page33) is
turned on.
By default, this mode is enabled.

When the BLUETOOTH standby
mode is set to on, the system waits
for a BLUETOOTH connection even
when the system has been turned
off. When a BLUETOOTH connection
is established, the system turns on
automatically.
Hint
Disable the BLUETOOTH standby mode to
reduce the power consumption in standby
mode (eco mode).
