Volume up Volume down Back Camera Flashlight Fingerprint SIM Card The SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card identifies your phone to the wireless network. You cannot make or receive phone calls without a properly installed SIM card.
Installing SIM/Memory card yy Detach the SIM card from its packaging. yy Power off your phone, use a pin to press the small cavity until the SIM/microSD cassette pops out.
Memory Card Memory cards add extra storage space for your music, pictures, videos, and more. This phone uses a microSD memory card size. Memory card sold separately. Battery To optimize battery performance, be sure to fully charge your phone before using it for the first time.
Charging battery yy Insert the small end of the charging cable into the phone micro-USB connector located on bottom of phone, as shown. yy Plug the other end of the charging cable into provided charger, connect charger to power outlet. Power yy To turn the power on, press and hold the Power key located on left side of phone. yy To turn the power off, press and hold the Power key, and then slide down the touch screen to power off.
Home Screen You can bring all the items (applications, shortcuts, folders and widgets) you love or use most frequently to your Home screen for quick access. Touch the Home key to get instant access to the Home screen. Status bar • Status/Notification indicators. • Touch and drag down to open the notifications panel and quick settings. Favorite applications tray • Touch to enter the applications. • Touch and hold to move or change applications. Slide main home screen left to view app list.
Notifications panel To open the Notifications panel, touch and drag the Status bar down. App list To access the App list to view all Applications, drag down from the Home screen to the bottom, then touch All apps or slide left from the home screen.
As you download new applications, they will appear in the App list in alphabetical order. Unlock the screen Press the Power key or double tap the touch screen to light up the screen, slide the screen upward, or enter PIN to unlock the screen. Add items to the Home screen yy Drag down from the Home screen to the bottom, then touch All apps or slide left from the home screen to access the App list. yy Touch and hold the desired item, and then touch Pin to Start.
Move and delete items from the Home screen Touch and hold the item on the home screen: yy When the item shows as picture below, drag the item to the position you want. yy Touch the bottom right icon to adjust the app display size. yy Touch the upper right icon to delete the item. Change Home screen wallpaper yy From the app list, touch Settings icon , and then touch Personalization. yy Touch Lock screen and select the Background from My picture, Sample images, Bing and Facebook.
Phone Placing a call You can easily place a call using Phone. From the app list, touch Phone icon . Touch to call back Touch to set voicemail Touch to view phone number and send message to the previewed number Touch to access People Touch to search contacts Touch to access Settings Display the suggested number(s). Touch and hold to access voicemail.
Enter the desired number from the keyboard directly and touch to place the call, or touch a contact from People, and then touch the phone number to place a call. The number you entered can be saved to People by touching and then touching to create a new contact. If you make a mistake, you can delete the incorrect digits by touching .
Answering or rejecting a call When you receive a call: Touch the icon to answer; Touch the icon to reject; Touch the icon to reject the call by sending a preset message. To mute the ringtone volume of an incoming call, press the Volume down key. Voicemail Set up voicemail yy Touch and hold to call voicemail. yy Follow the prompts to set up your voicemail account.
Volume & Ringtone Adjust in-call volume While on a call, press the Volume up/down key to adjust volume. Adjust the Onscreen Keyboard orientation Turn the phone sideways or upright to adjust the Onscreen Keyboard orientation. You can adjust Onscreen Keyboard orientation by touching Settings/System/Display, then turn on/off the Rotation lock switch.
