Your Tablet Interface
The following topics describe how to use and customize your tablet’s Home screen, understand the
status bar, and use the notifications window.
Home Screen Basics
The Home screen is the starting point for your tablet’s applications, functions, and menus. You can
customize your Home screen by adding application icons, shortcuts, folders, widgets, and more.
You can bring all your favorite icons (applications, shortcuts, folders and widgets) to your Homescreen
for quick access. Touch the Home key to switch to Home screen.
Status bar

All Apps
Home key
• While on any application or screen, touch to return to the Home screen.
Back key
• Touch to go back to the previous screen, or to close a dialog box, options
menu, the notification panel, etc.
• Touch to view the recent apps.
Power/lock key
• Press: Lock the screen/Light up the screen.
• Press and hold: Power on or pop up the menu to get more options, such as
Power off, Airplane mode, etc.
• Press and hold Power key and Volume down key to capture a screenshot.
• Press and hold about 10 seconds to restart the device.
Volume Keys
• In Music/Video/Streaming mode, adjust the media volume.
• Press and hold Power key and Volume down key to capture a screenshot.
Status bar
• Status/Notification indicators.
Favorite tray
applications
• Touch to launch the application.
• Touch and hold to move or delete the application.
All Apps
• Touch to see all applications.
