(1) INPUT You can connect an active
or passive bass to this ¼" input
jack. The input stage of your bass
amp is designed to adapt to any
type of pickup.
(2) GAIN knob and SIG LED The input
gain should be set to the highest
possible level without overloading
the input stage. To nd the correct
setting, simply plug in your bass,
play and turn up the GAIN knob
until the SIG LED occasionally
lights up. Then reduce the gain
slightly. When set, simply turn
up the MASTER volume knob to
start playing.
(3) TONE Controls The BAM200 has
three tone controls: BASS, MIDDLE,
and TREBLE. These controls have
been tuned carefully to address
four relevant bass frequency
areas, and should allow you to dial
in your sound with ease.
(4) POWER LED The LED lights up to
indicate the amp is powered on.
(5) MASTER level knob Use the
MASTER knob to set the overall
output level of the amp. The
MASTER knob also controls the
level of the headphone output.
(6) PHONES (Speaker Mute)
The PHONES jack is a ¼" connector
for headphones. Plugging
headphones into the jack mutes
the speaker output. With a
mild speaker lter applied to
the bass sound, our headphone
amp provides a high-quality
headphone sound.
(7) MAINS IN – Power switch
& Power input The power
input jack accepts the included
IEC cable. The ground pin of the
power supply unit must always
be connected in order to avoid
voltage di erences between
e.g. the PA and the BAM200.
(8) SPEAKER OUT Use the SPEAKER
OUT connector for connecting
BAM200 to speaker cabinets.
Please note that this is a ¼"
connector, and you must use
speaker cables!
Do not use instrument cables!
For BAM200, use a cabinet
con guration with a minimum
load of 4 Ohms. Examples:
•
• 2 x 8 Ohm (in parallel)
•
• 1 x 4 Ohm.
(9) DI OUT Use the DI OUT XLR jack
to connect the BAM200 to the
PA when you play on stage, or to
connect your amp to a recording
device when you are in the studio.
(10) GND LIFT Use the GND LIFT switch
to reduce hum when using the
DI OUT connection. When active,
the GND LIFT switch disconnects
the ground link between the
INPUT and the DI OUT connection.
The GND LIFT switch’s ability to
reduce hum or prevent ground
loops depends on the grounding
of connected devices.
