your own resolution for the Media Centre. Finally, you can now adjust
the display controls. You can adjust the brightness, contrast or perform
an RGB colour matching. The screen configuration is then finished and
the software switches you back to the main configuration screen.
Setting up the loudspeakers
Finally, you can also set up your computer's loudspeakers. This is
particularly important if you use more than two stereo loudspeakers, i.e.
a surround system.
To do this, select the Set Up Your Speakers item in the main menu of
the wizard. Click Next to move to the next step. The first dialog box
contains some explanatory information only. In the second dialog box
you must select how the loudspeakers are connected to your computer.
For analog PC loudspeakers, select the Mini Jack Plugs option; for
optical digital output select Toslink and for internal loudspeakers select
the Integrated option. You must then enter the number of loudspeakers.
You can choose between 2 speakers, 5.1 Surround speakers and 7.1
Surround speakers. If you have previously selected the integrated
loudspeakers, you can of course only enter two loudspeakers. The
other options are only possible if you have connected a surround
system or a digital amplifier.
In the next step you must try out your loudspeakers with the Test button.
