Connect the TV card
Your Targa Notebook is supplied with a TV card, which enables you to
receive digital TV stations by means of DVB-T. It is very easy to use, as
the relevant software is to a large degree based on a conventional
television. Most functions can therefore be used intuitively. You only
have to complete a few steps to make this feature available to you.
Before you can enjoy watching television at your network you must of
course provide an antenna or cable TV connection and set up the
channels. This is no great problem as the software does most of the
work for you. You will soon get the hang of it with the following
step-by-step instructions.
The connections required to receiving television channels, the so-called
coaxial sockets, are already provided on the notebook. Here you can
connect an analog room antenna, an analog cable TV connection or an
antenna for digital terrestrial television (DVB-T). If you want to connect a
satellite receiver, that is not a problem either. You only have to lay a
coaxial cable from the receiver to the notebook. Please note that this
will only work if the TV image is also output at your receiver via the
coaxial socket. This is not the case with more recent digital receivers.
Once you have connected the cable you can start adjusting the
necessary TV settings. The next section on the initial configuration
describes how to do this.
