QFlex Beam Engine
We have developed a highly intuitive GUI
called BeamEngine which doesn’t require
a degree in acoustics to operate, and will
achieve accurate and predictable results,
quickly.
This free to download design tool allows
for simple modelling of single QFlex arrays
in 2D. It allows the user to graphically
represent and generate steering algorithms
for:-
A sectional view (elevation) of the audience
area.
The mechanical aiming angle and mounting
location of the QFlex array.
From the dened listening area input by
the user, they specify target SPL’s over the
coverage areas. Multiple audience areas
can be specied if required.
The steering algorithm generated within the
BeamEngine is then saved and loaded to
the DSP within the QFlex column via the
VNET Software.
EASE Focus integration
From Spring 2014, users can model and
accurately predict coverage of QFlex
columns from within AFMG’s EASE
Focus v2 program. QFlex BeamEngine is
effectively integrated within EASE Focus
allowing you to better model and predict
performance in 3D, and create steering les
for output to each device.
