Planter Introduction The TankTop Cover makes a great planter for your garden. Made of polyethylene and recycled plastics, these products are designed to be an aesthetically pleasing décor element to enhance your outdoors. Refer to this manual when prepping your area, assembling the planter base, wishing well and securing everything in place. Septic Tank Introduction The TankTop Cover conceals septic covers in your yard. Made of polyethylene and recycled plastics, these products are designed to be an aesthetically pleasing décor element to enhance your outdoor gardens. It is recommended that more than one person assists with putting together the product.
Preparing the area and base for the well Locate the septic cover you wish to conceal. If the ground surrounding the septic cover is not level, you must level it out. Shovel the dirt away so that there is approximately 4 inches around the lid that is level. Test fit the well base over the septic cover for proper fit. Note! If the septic cover has a vent pipe it may have to be shortened to clear the planter inserts. Septic tank with a vent pipe that may need to be shortened. 1. 2. 3. 4.
Note! If the septic cover has an electrical conduit protruding from the side, there are some additional steps to take. If it doesn’t, these steps can be skipped. Septic tank with an electrical conduit. 1. Set the well base over the cover and rotate the base until the pockets in the top that hold the uprights are facing the desired position. 2. Mark the spot on the base where it meets the electrical conduit. 3. Place the well base next to the septic cover upright on the ground. 4.
Assembling the base to the septic cover 1. Locate the stainless steel hoop with the three straps fastened to it. Caution: Edges may be sharp! 2. Feed the 90 inch assembled strap below the chains of the septic cover. Or you can choose to fasten the stainless steel hoop as close to the ground as possible. Using a helping hand, wrap the strap around the septic cover in a circle. Use the 2 inch carriage bolt (included), a flat washer (included) and wing nut (included) to secure the ends of the strap together.
Well set over the septic lid. Mark a hole inside this elongated slot to drill for colored carriage bolts to fasten down the well. 6. Repeat step 6 for the remaining straps. 7. Turn the straps slightly to the side to allow an area to drill on the marks you just made. Using a drill, with a ¼ inch bit, drill the marks you made into the side of the well base (these will be used to secure the base to the straps). 8. Locate three 1 ¼ carriage bolts that match and are painted (included) and wing nuts (included).
