2. Connect the other end of the cable to the network or directly to the server
you plan to use to run the library’s Remote Management utility or to
upload firmware.
See Chapter 7, “Maintenance for information about downloading firmware
and performing diagnostics.
POWERING ON THE LIBRARY
This process involves two steps:
 “Applying Power to the Library” on page 22
 “Removing the Shipping Lock” on page 23
APPLYING POWER TO THE LIBRARY
To power on the library:

1. Make sure that the power switch on the back of the library is off (the 0 is
pressed).

You must remove the shipping lock before operating the
library.
