English FD-R Basic 2
8. Configuration variables and MM-registers
Memory area "function decoder"
In the lists you will find in the column "No." the numbers of the
configuration variables for programming in DCC format, that can be set
for the function decoder area of the FD-R Basic 2. The numbers of the
registers for programming in Motorola format are identical to the CV
numbers. The defaults are those values set in the state of delivery and
after a reset.
Please note: With variables destined to set several parameters, the
input value has to be calculated by adding the numerical values
assigned to the desired parameters.
Memory area "RailCom transmitter"
You can save either the values of CVs #1 to #256 of a DCC decoder
(that is not compatible to RailCom) or the registers #1 to #256 of a
Motorola decoder (that is not compatible to RailCom).
When using suitable PC software you can read out the decoder´s settings and
afterwards re-save them jointly for both decoders.
Common memory area
The following configuration variables (or MM registers) are programmed in
common for both areas:
basic address (CV #1),
extended address (CV #17 and #18),
consist adress (CV #19),
RailCom settings (CV #28),
configuration data (CV #29),
operating mode of the decoder (CV #888).
