7.2. Memory areas of the FD-R Basic 2
Area "function decoder"
contains all CVs (MM registers) programmed for the use as function
decoder. The values of these CVs are transmitted on a CV read-out
command, when
 in CV #888 the operating mode "function decoder" is set,
 in CV #28 the RailCom-channel 2 is switched on and
 in CV #29 RailCom is switched on.
Area "RailCom transmitter"
contains the CVs (MM registers) of the supported vehicle decoder not
compatible to RailCom. The values of these CVs are transmitted on a
CV read-out command, when
 in CV #888 the operating mode "RailCom transmitter" is set,
 in CV #28 the RailCom-channel 2 is switched on and
 in CV #29 RailCom is switched on.
Common area
contains the CVs (MM registers) that can be set for both areas in
common only:
 basic address (CV #1),
 extended address (CV #17 and 18),
 consist adress (CV #19),
 RailCom settings (CV #28),
 configuration data (CV #29),
 operating mode of the decoder (CV #888).
The address is sent continuously via RailCom when
 in CV #28 the RailCom channel 1 is switched on and
 in CV #29 RailCom is switched on.
