6.4. Problems when switching functions
An additional device / lighting does not react to switching commands.
Possible cause:
The assignment of the functions to the output to which the device / lighting is connected is
different than intended. à Check the settings in the Function Mapping.
The accessory is defective or incorrectly connected. à Check the accessory and the
connection.
The output is defective (e.g. due to overload or a short circuit). à Send in the decoder for
checking / (chargeable) repair.
The light goes on and off when switching up the speed levels or the light cannot be
switched on or off.
Possible cause:
The DCC speed mode of the decoder and the digital control unit do not match. Example:
The control unit is in 28 speed level mode, but the decoder is in 14 speed level mode.
à Change the speed mode on the control unit and / or on the decoder.
6.5. Problems when switching via the switching input
No function is triggered after passing a permanent magnet in the track.
Possible causes:
The reed contact or the Hall sensor is connected incorrectly. à Check the connection.
The distance to the magnet is too great or the magnet is too weak. à Change the position
of the magnet (if possible) or insert a stronger magnet.
The magnet is installed with the wrong polarity. à Change the installation direction.
The assignment of the function to the switching input is wrong. à Check the entries in
CV 105-108.
The minimum switch-on time is too short.à Check the entries in CV 97 - 98.
6.6. Problems in analogue mode
The locomotive does not run in analogue mode, the decoder does not react.
Possible cause:
Analogue mode is switched off. à Change the value for CV 29.
The decoder does not switch to analogue mode
(or switches over although it is still controlled digitally).
Possible cause:
In CV 11 the value for the Packet Time-Out is set too high or too low.. à Change the value
and check the setting during operation.
