PRECAUTIONS This unit is designed and manufactured with the user’s safety in mind. However any improper use or operation may result in certain dangers. It is therefore highly recommended to read this manual thoroughly and follow all of the instructions it gives. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS To prevent an electrical shock, do not open the housing. If a fault occurs, have the unit serviced by an approved and qualified engineer. Keep the unit dry and do not expose it to any liquids.
- Install the unit where it will not get in the driver's way and cannot injure the passenger if there is a sudden or emergency stop. - Do not install the unit where it would be subject to high temperatures, direct sunlight or near a heat source. Also avoid contact with dust, dirt and excessive vibrations. Installation Opening This unit can be installed in any dashboard that has an opening with the following dimensions (DIN standard): Installing the unit 1.
Removing the unit 1. Make sure the ignition is turned off, and then disconnect the cable from the vehicle battery's negative (-) terminal. 2. Press the button to remove the front panel. 3. Remove the surround by gently pulling it up to detach it. 4. Insert both of the supplied release keys so that they release the left and right sides of the bracket and then pull the unit out of the dashboard.
NOTE: INCORRECT WIRING OR OPERATION WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY OF THIS UNIT. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of a fault if the connections are not made properly.

GENERAL OPERATION Resetting the unit You must reset the unit when using it for the first time, after replacing the car battery or changing the connections. 1. Turn off the car radio. 2. Press the ( ) button and remove the front panel, then press the RESET button with a ballpoint pen or similar object to restore the unit to the original factory settings. Power on/off When the unit is switched off, switch on by pressing any button.
RADIO OPERATION Press the MODE/VOL/PWR OFF button to select radio (TUNER) mode. To select a radio band In radio mode, press the BND/AS button repeatedly to select one of the three radio broadcasting bands: -> FM 1-> FM 2 -> FM 3. Auto/ Manual tuning (in 50kHz increments) - Automatic tuning: Press and hold the I or button to launch an automatic search forwards or backwards. The radio will search up or down for a radio station with a strong signal within the current band.
USING USB DEVICES AND SD/MMC MEMORY CARDS Press the MODE/VOL/PWR OFF button to select USB/SD/MMC mode. When a USB device and a SD/MMC card are both connected, the unit will automatically play the last source. Press the BND/AS button to select USB or SD/MMC mode. For more details on playback operations, refer to the section “MP3/WMA FILES OPERATIONS”. Notes: - When a USB device or a memory card is being played, please do not touch it or remove it. Select another mode first.

TROUBLESHOOTING Symptom The unit will not start Cause The car ignition is not switched on. The connections are not correct. A fuse has blown in the vehicle. The fuses at the back of unit have blown. Volume is at minimum. The mute function is activated. The wiring is not properly connected. No sound Solution Turn the ignition key to the accessory position until the unit comes on. Check the connections. Check the vehicle fuses. Adjust volume to the desired level. Switch off the mute function.
