How do I figure out sizing for a UNISA Mount?
The UNI‐SA (single arm) mount sizing is a little bit different than the other pole mounts because it does not
attach through the mounting holes on the module frame. Instead it clamps down to the inside of the module
frame (this is what we refer to as the "inside extrusion dimension"). This measurement is not typically listed on a
spec sheet so the UNI‐SA mounts are not found in the Tamarack Solar pole mount Sizing Chart. The UNI‐SA
mounts are sized as follows.
Can I attach a side of pole mount to a flat wall?
Side of pole mounts can be attached to a flat surface by replacing the banding that comes with the mount with
hardware to bolt it directly to the wall. We suggest using washers in conjunction with the mounting hardware to
create space between the wall and rack for the bolt heads on the back plate of the racking.
While mounting on a flat wall can be done, this is not the method of attachment that the system was designed
for and as such, this configuration is not covered under our warranty.
How high can the pole mount racking be installed?
The single arm mounts can be mounted a maximum of 30' above grade.
What modules are compatible with your single arm mount system?
The best way to determine if your module is compatible with our single arm mounts is to measure the inside
extrusion dimension and determine if it is within the range specified in the above diagram.
