5 Before Using
5.1 Connect to the PC and download audio files
The MP3 player is a plug & play device for Windows 2000/ME/XP operating system. But for
Windows 98/SE, you are required to install the driver before you connect the device to the PC.
For detail information about driver installation, see the “Driver Installation” section in the later
section.
(1) Plug the larger end of the USB cable into the USB interface of the PC and connect the other
small end to the USB port of the player. When you see a safe removal icon “
” at the right
bottom of the PC screen, the connection is successful.
(2) Double click “My Computer” and copy files from or to the removable disk.
5.2
Disconnect the player from the PC safely
Please remove the player from the PC safely to avoid data loss.
For Windows2000/XP:
(1) Left click the
icon at the right hand corner of the taskbar.
(2) Click the pop-up mini-window with message of “Stop the USB Mass Storage Device – Drive
(X)”.
(3) Pull out the MP3 player when you are prompted.
For Win98, please make sure to stop transferring data before unplugging the MP3 player.
5.3 Driver Installation (For Windows 98/SE)
(1) Insert the driver CD into the CD-ROM, execute the Setup.htm file on it. All product models
will be displayed.
(2) Roll the scroll bar to go to the player picture and click the picture.
(3) Select “Run this program from its current location” in order to execute Setup.exe program at
once. Click OK to continue.
(4) Click Yes on the pop-up dialogue to continue.
(5) Click “Install” to start installation.
(6) Click “Yes” to finish installation and restart the computer.
To uninstall the driver,
(1) Insert the driver CD into the CD-ROM, execute the Setup.htm file on it. All product models
will be displayed.
(2) Roll the scroll bar to go to the player picture and click the picture.
(3) Select “Run this program from its current location” in order to execute Setup.exe program at
once. Click OK to continue.
(4) Click Yes on the pop-up dialogue to continue.
(5) Click “Uninstall” to uninstall the driver.
(6) Click “Yes” to finish and restart the computer.
5.4 Insert/Remove the SD/MMC Card
Since the player provides no flash memory, you are required to insert the SD/MMC card to store
the data. Ensure to insert the SD/MMC card into the card slot before downloading data or playing
