ThisisaCategoryIIIapplianceandmustbeventedaccordingly.Theventsystemmustbesealedairtight.
Allseamsandjointswithoutgasketsmustbesealedwithhighheatresistantsilicone sealantorULlisted
aluminumadhesivetapehavingaminimumtemperatureratingof350°F.Forbestresults,a
ventsystem
shouldbeasshortandstraightaspossible.
ThiswaterheaterisaCategoryIIIapplianceandmustbeventedaccordinglywithany4”vent
approvedforusewithCategoryIIIorSpecialBHtypegasvent.
Followtheventpipemanufacturer’sinstructionswheninstallingthe
ventpipe.
Donotcommonventthisappliancewithanyotherventedappliance(Donotterminatevent
into a chimney.If the vent must go through the chimney, the vent must run all the way
throughthechimneywithCategoryIIIapprovedorSpecialBHventpipe).
When
the horizontal vent run exceeds 5 ft., support the vent run at 3 ft. intervals with
overheadhangars.
Themaximumlengthofexhaustventpiping mustnotexceed50ft.(deducting5 ft.foreach
elbowusedintheventingsystem).Donotusemorethan5elbows.
