Multiplayer Instructions

Multiplayer allows you to race against real opponents anywhere in the world via the internet or a

local network with up to 10 persons at once.

Operation

When opening the Multiplayer menu the following three tabs appear:

Current races Overview of the existing rides. Here you can take part in races that are being

organised.

Organise race Organise a Multiplayer race yourself.

Calendar Find out when other users organise a Multiplayer race at a present time.

Current races

This is an overview of the races that are currently available. In the Start time column you can check

whether or not the race is still available to join.

The overview contains the following columns:

Type The image in this column indicates the race type. In Multiplayer the following

races can be organised: Catalyst, Real Life Video, Real Life Training and

Virtual Reality.

Distance The total distance of the organised race.

Multiplayer Instructions Start time Here you can check the time left before the race starts. The time is displayed as MM:SS. The races which are not available anymore have the red notification Running. Riders The current number of participants and the maximum number of participants. For example: 4/20 means that 4 of the maximum of 20 riders have signed on for the race. For Virtual Reality the maximum number of participants is 10.

Multiplayer Instructions Attention! The first time you join a race in Multiplayer, a pop-up of the firewall might appear. Choose ‘Allow access’. Lobby The lobby shows the riders that have signed on for the race. In the chat window in the bottom left corner of the screen you can chat with other participants. Start Start the race. Only the ‘lobby leader’ can start a race. Ready Inform the other participants that you are ready to start. Your status will change to Ready for the other riders.

Multiplayer Instructions Time As soon as the countdown is finished, the ride will start automatically. Organise a race To organise a race yourself, click the tab Organise race at the top of the screen. Then follow these instructions in the column at the right: Step 1 Training type: Choose the type of training. In Multiplayer the following races can be organised: Catalyst, Real Life Video, Real Life Training and Virtual Reality. Step 2 Race name: Enter the race name of your choice. This is obligatory.

Multiplayer Instructions Racing via the Tacx cloud server is new in the Tacx Trainer software version 4. This is a standard setting on the Tacx server. It means that settings are no longer needed in the current router. If you don’t want to make use of the Tacx network, click the arrow. The Server type option will appear. Choose: Server on my computer. Please note that custom settings might be required in this case. Check your router manual for further information.

Multiplayer Instructions Calendar The Calendar column shows when users have scheduled a race. On the website www.tacx.com it is possible to add races that will then appear on the calendar. A race will always be visible in the Current races column. It will have to be started by the user himself. You can find more information on www.tacx.com To the finish When the race has been started, it works just like a normal training.
