Catalyst
Catalyst consists of professional training programs for scientific analysis. There are three different
types of programs that are adjustable in distance (in increments of 100 meters) or time (in 10
seconds).
Slope (incline resistance)
This program is set from 5% to +20%. It is comparable to riding outside on the road. The brake
resistance increases when you start riding faster or when the percentage of the climb becomes
higher. Adjustments are made in 0.1% increments.
Watt (power output)
The software will adjust the resistance on the roll in such a manner that you will be constantly riding
at the set power output. If you change your pedalling frequency or gear, the software will adjust the
resistance on the roll. You can adjust the power output between 10 and 990 Watt in 10 Watt
increments.
Heart rate
The software continually checks if your heart rate is still around the set value for the duration of the
training. It will adjust the brake resistance accordingly. You can set the heart rate between 40 and
240 heart beats per minute, 1 beat at a time.
Note: You have to turn on the heart rate function before you start the heart rate training.
